About GPF

The Global Peering Forum (GPF) builds on an effort started by multiple commercial organizations over 15 year ago. GPF is an independent, non-profit organization designed to advance the business interests of individuals involved in peering and interconnection. As of June 2016, GPF is an incorporated entity with an initial board of directors, ratified bylaws, and is in the process of applying for 501(c)(6) recognition from the U.S. IRS as a non-profit business league. The current board consists of representatives from seven past GPF host organizations and two external, globally-operating interconnection participants. GPF will begin offering membership in fiscal 2017 and board elections will begin in mid-2018.

This site will include required public disclosures, meeting minutes, and additional information benefiting the understanding of our members and event attendees. We hope to receive IRS approval to operate as a non-profit organization by the end of 2016 in advance of the the first GPF-produced event in 2017.
